BRAINSTEAM aims to use new pedagogies to help students effectively learn concepts in neuroscience. STEAM ( Science Technology Engineering Art and Math) has been championed in primary education but remains elusive in higher education. Our focus is to develop new strategies including combining art and visual illustrations to represent scientific data , ideas and hypotheses. In a digital age, when information is consumed quickly, learning how to present the most salient points and broad impact of data can be done with a diagram. A picture is worth a thousand words..
